Wichita Falls was overrun by Okies years ago.
Pretending to be a Texian by espousing violent
solutions and the hatred of Mexicans is a shallow ruse.
Baytown is neither a part of Texas nor Mexico;
Baytown is a multinational property of Exxon-Mobile.
Sam Houston planned to defeat Santa Anna by attrition;
by luring him as far into Texas as possible. Houston
ordered the Alamo contingent to destroy it and return.
They didn't. Not that smart; but luckily for the forces
of pro-slavery (see below), the Mexicans weren't either.
The reason Texas exists today is that cotton interests
in the Southern U.S. wanted to grow cotton in Texas
and they needed to use slaves to do this. But Mexico
had made slavery illegal so it was necessary for them
to support a revolution in Texas to create a territory
where white people were "free" to own slaves. One of
the many reasons I love Texas.
