Most people where I grew up had straw cowboy hats, but not Resistol ones. That George Strait hat is a nice one. I quit wearing cowboy hats when I started driving a ford ranger. The back window will not it off your head, and there's no where to put it if you got someone riding with you, especially if it's two kids. Use to be big business steaming those felt hats, everyone had to have it bent and twisted just right.
