German creator Dr Alfred Hasslebacher said: 'It has been devised to assist all men and women looking to lose excess weight and control their appetite.
'This optimum formula has been clinically proven to increase energy levels, suppress appetite, and burn fat.'
Nuratrim costs £34.95 for 30 pills and is designed to be taken daily with breakfast.
It contains glucomannan derived from the konjac root, licourice extract, green tea extract and chilli extract.
Nuropharm Limited, which developed Nuratrim, claim it can burn as many calories as a 40 minute run. However, requests for the clinical evidence from the company has yet to be returned.
Further information about Dr Alfred Hasslebacher's background has also proved elusive.
