No, I just got the idea of the sound of crunching crickets in my mind and needed a vehicle with good tires to run them over. Wait, sorry, mixed metaphor.
...and needed a poem idea that included crickets getting crunched. It seemed an apt image to have big granny boots coming down to crunch a cricket. Oooooh I like that "crunch a cricket".
It was all just fodder for a farce! Only puny punny harm intended (metaphorically speaking).
