I believe the clap was originally gonorrhoea... now it's a generic term for things people acquire in delicate places while they're doing things they ought not be doing

As for what to do with your poems... well, you can sell them on to people who don't appreciate them but are happy to make money out of them anyway, or you can make a lovely little chapbook for posterity that your children and grandchildren will cherish.

I could do the latter thing, but if they're not interested now...I suspect it would get thrown out with all the other stuff when I die. (just being realistic)
