When faced with madness, suicide,
mostly wrought by my dad's wives,
our answer is to scrub the bath
and make tiny sandwiches.
This verse really caught my eye - it encapsulates a whole way of life Mind you, I might have put 'cucumber' between 'tiny' and 'sandwiches'........'cos that is my stereotypical view of the middle classes.
It made me wonder what I would chose for a working class family.
"our answer is to do the lottery
And have a Friday fry up."
Are 'wives' and 'sandwiches' what is called 'eye rhymes'? - something makes those particular lines satisfying to me!
