i often contemplated doing a parody of gunga din but never got round to it. i think kipling's meter in that, may be a little easier to follow too.

Gunga Din's totally do-able -- but don't run away with the idea that Kipling's meter is easy to follow It's perfect and lovely and all that, but there's definitely a trick to it -- it would be a good challenge for you.
