I was reading an article today about a foreign town which is plagued by British stag parties urinating on their statue of liberty. Also in the article were stories about celebrations in Ibiza and such where men were seen dancing on tables, throwing up, exposing themselves and starting fights. Perhaps I don't have the appropriate mentality but I've never understood stag parties like this anyway, which seem to involve a lot of the time sexual humiliation (like one man who was tied naked to a bed and had to be freed by hotel staff), risk of sometimes horrific accidents or even deaths (there have been reports of partiers falling off balconies while drunk etc.), violence, fines and arrests by local police.
Do you think this kind of misbehaviour abroad is something the British specialise in? Have you been or are planning to go on a stag overseas, and if so will there be drink and excess involved? How far is too far?
