You would have known I was gay before you heard my voice or saw my face, having had access to the poems I never showed my dad, so whatever impressions you drew from the videos I published would have been coloured by that. You know what, I lied, I was offended, I am offended, not by your saying I give off signals which convey my sexuality, I probably do, though I don't think you're capable of judging that objectively, but because you basically tried to trivialise my experience, something I would never do to you. Who cares what the motives for my dad's homophobia were? They don't change the fact that I could have killed myself as a result.

I would bring up statements you made on DU about how you think people who deal graphically with child molestation in their poems have the perversion themselves, but as that isn't relevant to the argument I'm trying to make I'll let the hypocrisy slide. Again, you don't take art seriously. Neither do I. But the kind of people who watch Glee do. And if they're told that it is art and that it reflects real life they'll perpetuate its bullshit lessons.

so you bring something up by saying you won't bring it up and then say you're letting my hypocrisy slide. well jack, to start with the poem on du was about fucking a baby, about graphically fucking a baby and done without pulling punches, it was a bout fucking a baby for the pleasure it gave the writer of the poem it was about making the baby squeal while fucking it, making it hurt while fucking it and i said i thought it was a piece of crap poetry. in other words a piece of poetry most definitely not to be taken seriously. when i take a poem of yours seriously or a piece of art. i'm taking the construction of it, the way you embue it with mirth or feeling or yes, even revulsion. the poem in question was out and out tripe without poetic device or anything else that could be associated with art. you support such poetry, you said you support such poetry and yet you want glee reprimanded for playing a glitter song, and you speak of hypocrisy

Actually no, I wasn't implying that hearing a Glitter song on a mainstream show will encourage kids to think child molestation is okay,

i never said or even implied that you said it would have an influence on young kids that child molestation was okay, i said i assume you mean a negative influenc, i assume you don't mean a positive influence so you can only be saying it has a neg influence?

how will playing a glitter song have an influence on the young. remembering that you a still like to hear his music by your own words. and why will it be negative

if we disregard Glitter for a moment, used in the context of a sexual education class, with actors playing children gyrating and singing about being touched, is in my opinion incredibly inappropriate.

it was not and has never been a sex education class. you yourself said you still love or like the glitter songs. with no disrespect, how old are you.

there teenagers or supposed to be and they go through hollywoods idea of teenage angst. the gay guy who sees the queen bitch primo donna chasing a gay guy he can't have, a guy in a fucking wheel chair dancing round the stage like he owns it, school tours around the country dancing on more steps than those in make believe fame ever did. a school that has every pop star from here to timbook two on each week it's all make believe. it's all put into a one hour show and it's all lies. the kids know that the same as the kids know when they play whatever game is current that in real life people can't walk through the streets killing, that guys in wheelchairs don't often become pop idols and that a gary glitter song not being played wont stop them from being banged by the next relative who bangs them. that a glitter song was played doesn't really make any difference in anyones life except ours because were debating the bastard.

seriously if i id i am profusely sorry i count you as a friend on here as much as anyone can do so.
i admire you the person as a person whose views and insights i take seriously. don't let a discussion where we don't see eye to eye cloud what you think i think of you. and yep even without hearing your voice i' would have probably guessed you were gay, ask addy she'll tell you i'm not lying.
