If he truly believes that what he's doing is for the greater good, then why not just expose all the incriminating info ASAP, instead of hostaging the info and using it as threats to world governments? Is he saying that if the US backs down and stops harassing him, he'll deign to keep that info "safe" and not release it to the public even though it's supposedly oh-so important? That's totally hypocritical to the wikileaks cause. Screw that "greater good" nonsense, he's now just using the info in his hands for a power trip. To him, getting the US to bow to the almighty Assange is what's important; screw social justice.
