I cannot trust my bedroom floor
At night, to keep its lifeless form,
Its lurching croaks, its fossil planks,
Or order in its rigid ranks;
Instead, I pray to fall asleep
Before the boards reform beneath
As ocean-water, cold and grey
Which carries all the walls away
At night, to keep its lifeless form,
Its lurching croaks, its fossil planks,
Or order in its rigid ranks;
Instead, I pray to fall asleep
Before the boards reform beneath
As ocean-water, cold and grey
Which carries all the walls away
