Is it rude to send someone a message demanding that they read their poems and give feedback? I recently received such a missive, entitled "FRIEND HAVE U READ ANY OF MY FUCKING POEMS," on another poetry site, containing a poem and ending with: "YOUR VIEWSSmile" without so much as a question mark to indicate that they're asking instead of directing me to offer an opinion. I was quite offended by this. Did I have a right to be?
More generally, how important are manners to you? How highly do you prize politeness? Are you a stickler for Ps and Qs, or do you find it all too much?
