If you believe religious teachings that say that God pretty much mandated religion (sent ten commandments, sent Jesus to start a church, etc), then it follows that he would have to be religious in that sense.

If we assume he exists, I don't personally believe he would or could be faithful to the Church in the current state it's in

first invent a church and then not be responsible for priests putting their hands in little boys pants?
