What an interesting question?
I think it depends on an individuals schooling and interpretation of what or who God is.
I grew up with religious teachings and they can easily become hardcoded into ones mind and not so easy to turn from (at least I found it difficult).
I do have more of my own thoughts as to what God is ... ideas that would shock my folks if they were still here with me.
With where I am in my walk now ... no I don't think God is religious ... people are religious.
