but to get really back on topic. shouldn't any unjust law in any land be changed. or shouldn't people at least try to change them?

Sure if you are a native to that land and you have a problem with the laws in your own land then by all means try to change them. Outsiders need to stay outside and mind their own business. Nothing worse than a nosey damned neighbor.
