islam in general the muslim world in general and the west in general.
women in the west have much more freedom in general.
women in the middle east have less.
women are treated differently in both places. the regime for women in parts of india and the middle east is much harsher. even here in the philippines a woman can go to prison for adultery. a man can't. (it's a catholic country) some countries inforce their laws through religion or at the very least have a big say on them. christian religions here is a big bad thing.
