There are. Election reform is needed, and more control over the influence of lobbyists. But let's put it this way: a senator or congressman from South Carolina or Alabama who votes for legalizing file-sharing or marijuana won't be re-elected, because whoever runs against him in the following election will crucify him with 30-second television ads. Ever watch Fox News?
