It's not the politicians that need educating. They know that certain issues are knee-jerk predictable for the folks back home, and they play the ignorance issues for all they're worth. Weve got homosexual republicans in Congress voting against gay rights, fer chrissakes. If the voters couldn't have their buttons pushed, Fox News would be out of business.
