The siblings never know when they'll see each other again. And each set of rhyming lines, taken by themselves, forms a little mini-poem, all the little mini-poems woven together successfully. I won't ask whether that was intentional.
Practice Threads: Terza Rima
I threw a practice poem and CRNDLSM, playful as usual, suggested a crown. A week of speed writing, set first lines, couplets that needed a workable last line and the form itself had my brain circling like a tornado. So I'm not surprised there are poems within the poems, fun but my problem is in meaning, in it not being babble. I once edited a sonnet I was fully committed to and although I enjoyed every tortured minute I have doubts that the ideas here are worth it.
Thanks for making me take another look.
