This made me laugh. You're obviously having fun. Since the humor comes from the sometimes awkward rhymes, I'd keep that but don't be afraid to do more of what you did here:
"looking past the balding, not
to miss the Garibalding,"
You don't have to be exact and, in fact, it works better to sometimes have a slant rhyme or when you don't adhere to your couplet form too strictly.
