Something has gone wrong: I saw a woman
and her husband on the Youtube or whatever I like this line for the bombardment of clips that we don't even know where we saw them.
get pulled over by a cop. He put the man in

cuffs. The camera flagged your license plate.
This car’s stolen, he said. Turns out of course
it wasn’t stolen, it was off While the enjambment is clever it led me on a useless tangent of how the plate came back as stolen when it was missing.

by just one letter. Had the man at gunpoint.
Their baby in the back. Now, you’re probably thinking,
is this one of those poems warning not

about the future but the present, how it’s fucked already, 
how we should be scared to move outside
the rooms we sleep in, how existing is the latest crop 

to be commodified?
And look, I wouldn’t lie
to you: it is.
Yes, already fucked, I like the way the poem got there.
