Is abu nuwas still around? what a thread!

following a bot, I stumbled upon this gem of an old thread: https://www.pigpenpoetry.com/thread-12325.html

abu nuwas being right as usual in dismissing that fraud Ezra Pound

He was a scrappy old fart - certainly missed.

My guess would be he has passed but you never know - might be arguing the poor reaper's ear off even now.

As for Pound - I have always struggled to enjoy his poetry (though some of his critique is absolutely diabolical) but seeing as you and Abu dismiss it I think I might give it another shot.  

Pound is that guy in the corner slapping his hands together begging for the rock. Then you finally sling it to him and he hits 1 out of 10 threes. He proceeds to do a victory lap and hit the NIGHT NIGHT. 

That said, the 1 in 10 is really spectacular.

yah - I have read most of what he wrote - just never really tickled my fancy
