I wrote the poem imagining I was a boy gazing out the window of that Church, sitting in Vincents world,gazing into Vincent's sky!Hi! Happy to have you here, 55 is a great age to restart, I also spent a long time not writing, then it came back in a rush. I've had so much fun on this site and learned so many things I had no idea I didn't know. I hope you enjoy it too, feel free to poke around and jump on in. -ella

I've already learned a thing or two! And I've already started writing! That's what I was having a hard time with. Man I have so much to learn. What an adventure!

I have browsed through the different forums, and I am delighted to know that there is a wealth of literature for me to read. I particularly enjoy poems intended to be sung or performed, those with a lovely meter and musicality. Hence why I have watched the performance of The Raven in that one Simpsons episode a thousand times or so.
I graduate from university this year, so writing has been quite a useful creative outlet for me as I navigate changing tides.

Hello P ! Welcome to the Pen! I just joined myself a couple days ago. I've heard about that episode The Simpsons, I need to check it out. I have an admiration for many things your country has produced. (especially poets) I even have a United Kingdom "wrap" across the hood of my car. Fun fun! Hopefully I will visit England one day!
