Gunners still on top of the PL, for now.Hey Mark, good to know that you're still following the football (ooops soccer), it's been a tough season for us. Our striker ironically went on 'strike' so he could engineer a move to Liverpool and that left us scrambling to find replacements in a short amount of time. Too many games this season for us because we're in every bloody competition and playing every 3 days. What price glory?? The league has gone for us now, we'll be lucky to get top seven and get back into europe, but we're still in the FA cup and the Champions league. The champions league is excellent this year, the new format really works well and it's helped us out. If we get through the Qarabag tie, we got to play them at our place next week, then we go through to play Barcelona or Chelsea.
Gotta tell ya though- Champions League is fantastic, and I hope you saw Club Brugge vs Atleti: fabulous 3-3 match!
World Cup is just around the corner now, too. Finally us fans in North America get to watch at decent times. Weirder times for you though.
Here in the DC area slogging through winter, but if monks can Walk For Peace 2,300 miles from TX to DC, in very challenging weather, I'll consider myself lucky.
Be well,
Mark
As you know we won our first trophy in over 70 years last year, so I'm not gonna complain too much this year.
Roll on the world cup, it should be a good one over there.
