Getting both the tedium of winter and watching snow pile.
One long winter?

Unintentional, but I'll take it. It makes more sense now. 
It was just a flippant take on haikus and the insistence of 17 syllables, season and cut.

might change it to 

snow two three four five
snow two three four five winter
- cut two three four snow

then it incorporates both possibilities
