Hi Quix!
I think the workshops need to stay clean with friendly chitchat limited to the poem or points brought up through crit, preferably with the op involved in any discussion.
Misc and Fun are a gray area. To crit or not. To respond with an answering poem or not. To babble about what the poem made you remember about fourth grade or not. I stop to think a moment on what to post. It would be nice if the thread doesn't spiral, but if the OP wants to protect it they can post in a workshop, no one is forced to edit there and the thread will stay focused.
On discussion threads I don't care if they eventually change tracks or unravel, anyone can always post a fresh thread on the same subject or ask a mod to split it.
As someone who enjoys kind, friendly, joking banter I'm really curious about what everyone has to say about this. Thanks Quix.
