Tbh its my first time posting here and I was unsure where to post it. I did write it for fun and I didn't want a ton of critique so I felt it was right. Idk

Miscellaneous is probably a closer fit as Poetry for Fun leans more towards
humorous/just playing around/off the cuff. But, truth is, it's up to you.
They're both "no critique expected" even though commenters are free to do
so if they wish. All sorts of writing and art is ok in Miscellaneous. My poems
are almost always illustrated with an image making them mixed media so
I post them in Miscellaneous.

I enjoyed your piece. Google Docs tells me it's about 1300 words, and since
flash fiction usually ranges 700 to 1000 that's probably the closest category
if we were actually concerned with categories. Using first/second person is
very effective. It felt to me like a lived-in emotional essay, a memoir addressed
to someone of significance, to a love.The usual metaphors could easily have
assumed their traditional stereotypes. But, to my delight, you treated them
with the respect necessary to reveal believable characters.
Yeah, well, anyway, I liked it.
