Joy is a thing with Feathers
#8
I really like how this poem started. Poetry about writing poetry - something about that really resonates with me.

I loved this lyric by Twenty One Pilots.

I wish I found some better sounds no one's ever heard
I wish I had a better voice that sang some better words
I wish I found some chords in an order that is new
I wish I didn't have to rhyme every time I sang

It made me laugh, but it really hits with the creative process.

I was with you up until the line "begs the important question". I think there are two connotations to that phrase. The first is the original one, that almost no one understands or uses anymore. You definitely didn't mean it that way (has to do with a logical fallacy - you can Google that). The second connotation is the way you meant it - that it raises an obvious question, as if it's the "elephant in the room" or something like that. The problem for me is I don't really think that's true. So the transition from "ha ha let's all laugh at ourselves for how we stumble and fumble with writing poetry" to your own personal and emotional issues didn't seem to follow naturally for me.
