"Mandelbrotland"
At every edge, the world repeats again
the recursive coastline of a boundless land;
The same dark bloom coils inward without end.
Where each old fear's re-patterned in the brain,
The same impulse repeats on higher bands
in the same dark bloom coiling inwards, without end.
The more I look, the less I can explain;
All clarity breaks down in weird dreamlands.
At every edge, the world repeats again,
Like a lesson I can't learn, mine to gain,
That just circles round and round within its span--
The same dark bloom coils inward without end.
The fractal proves reality insane,
With no clean truths, hard lines, or final plan;
At every edge, it just repeats again.
Each truth I grasp unwrites itself again,
Receding into shapes no mind can stand.
The same dark bloom coils inward without end,
At every edge, the world repeats again.
Not sure if the Mandelbrot set counts as geometry. It is a shape. There are mathematics. Close enough?
