new codes for formatting text

How do you successfully copy and paste poems in here? None of my attempts come out right.

Do I have to type each poem by hand? Because neither PDF copy and paste nor a PAGES copy and paste seem translate correctly.

I have the same problem pasting from Word.  It comes out very small.  I fix it by highlighting all the tiny text and then using the "remove formatting" button on the tool bar at the top of the page.  It is the button on the right in the grouping third from the left where you can select text color and font size etc.  Maybe someone else has a better fix but that works for me.  Sometimes you have to hit the button a couple times.

You can also select a character size (after highlighting, as above) - the "A" icon with the stretch arrow to its left - of 4, 5, 6 or so.
