Hey there,

Another lowly poet looking for continued critique. I hail from Central New York, and I've been active recently as a poet and writing teacher for students at my local community center. I'm also in a local writing society that is publishing our first zine on my birthday, 6/21; so close I can taste it.

I first became active as an artist in Rochester, which is about an hour from where I am now. I write performance poetry as well as work only for the page, and I'm hitting a wall with submissions, so I'm turning my work out for review. I see here there's rules about critique before posting work, so I'll get on that now. I have a huge backlog of high ticket work I would like some intense review of, but I know I have to give some to get it back.

I do have a question about how submitting to lit magazines will work after I post my work here; can I do that without getting in trouble? How has that experience been for others?
