Kiah, my cat awaits her first
vet visit in years.
I'm thankful to be alive 
to take her.

Best friend is missing me
from Mexico.

Full of relief
because you can't undo
love without labels.

Like my new friend I send
pictures of Kiah too.

Pictures of my parents cabin.
Hoping they wll brighten her day.
Blossoming flowers inside fear.

I'd plant on every grave
decades of gardens.

I wish too;
find a way for her and her son
to stay safe and friends with me.
