It’s playoffs and the bar     "The playoffs, the bar" (so you can dispense with "is" in next line)?
is buddies cheering rabid  
laughter red light.

Shirtless in the mirror
balding baseball cap
puppies and ice cream.

Catch a fish in canoe and red flannel,
enjoy the tension and release.

I like the revised third stanza, a big improvement.  In that next stanza, "puppies and ice cream" is a little too sweet.  "dogs and ice cream"?  One other note above.

What makes the poem work for me is the unexpectedness of each stanza, the lack of any attempt to artificially link them together.  Refreshing.  Final stanza does bring it to a satisfying end.
