of fortresses lost to time        "lost in time" feels overused (by myself among other); "broken by time" (?)
is your one of a kind
way of speaking to me,
beloved of my mind.

Love is a wonder
meant to be 
lived to the fullest joy,
girl and boy,                     seems unnecessary since it is already your title
and your face is forever 
new life to me. Florence is for lovers,
and you’ll be my other through the centuries.  Other (?)

Appreciate the suggestion on ‘lost to time’, which is indeed a cliche
I threw in a few clues regarding the identity of the narrator, with Florence, New Life, and a love of the mind. Not sure if they made for an a-ha moment.
