Saturday Morning

Laughing all morning
with a bowl of cinammon toast crunch
in maple leaf pyjamas
on the corduroy couch
you burned a hole in
playing with matches.

The tv is playing songs
on a mayonnaise trumpet
in a woman's bathing suit
at the bottom of the ocean,
and I am transfixed.
