Hot outta the dryer
in the laundry basket-
my black drawers
still tangled up
with your pink panties,

and one of my socks
has run off with one of yours,
to that place
where the other sock goes.

Somehow a leg
of your pj’s is sticking out
of a sleeve
of my night shirt!

This is why we gotta separate
our laundry-
our clothes see us nude
and go nuts.
