I watched Pinocchio at least twenty times
with my son when he was little,
and I had most of it memorized.
While I wondered why he wanted
to see it over and over,
I came to realize that he was
watching me more than the movie-
then joining in to act out the next scene.
Our seemingly minor interactions
cementing an enduring bond.
