I decide on “Low Rider” by War
and cue the music
while she showers.

She exits the bathroom
a towel on her head, another round her torso
and eyes too serious to bare.

Then, a towel on the floor,
an appointment that mustn’t be missed;
a decision to be made.

We make it together.
