High sun
settles   everyday the streets flooded I understand flooded, but maybe there's a busier word that doesn't take away from the heat of the sun
colours    student’s 
backpacks        joy and terror    go on lots of students in the streets, terror specifically
monotonous hours is terror monotonous?
hunger and heave like a flood
over idle feet
full with standing I love this last line, especially with hunger, and monotonous sun, most of my critique would be madlib, word choices.  Otherwise I think I feel it.  Thanks for sharing
