Whoopsy daisy
I’m antiquated
if not liquidated.
I wish I knew
how far to go
before below
catches up with me,
before above
declares its love.
Startled now
for sure I’ll bark
into the dark,
I hope my end’s
a better fit
and I’ll insist
where I began
was not my fault
but just a halt
a trembling point
along a line
straight as time.
