Shean Lock is dead, and Norm Macdonald is dead

I suppose it's  a bit like the 'what happened with poetry question?' and the answer may be along the same lines in respect of the way that people would access comedy these days. Is stand up a lost art? To some it probably seems old fashioned. There has been a show here in Britain which is a stand up comedian doing their routine while actors act it out. What's the point in that? But it is probably aimed at a mainly younger market who consume these products in different ways. It's not allowing us to use our imagination enough. There will be excellent comedy out there, just not in the usual platforms and formats that we are used to. 

It does seem that stand up is a dying art but there will be some decent ones out there, but as for anyone being as good as Billy Connolly, in my opinion - no chance.

Truly twas' the end of a great era.
