cranks the cord of a lawnmower
too long in hibernation

the dollar store 
on the corner
sells road salt and Easter eggs
side by side
in the seasonal aisle

hedging their bets

Nice one, i really like the homely detail in the first stanza

-5 celsius last night and then it's suppose to be 17c later today. 17c in Scotland in March, we don't usually get that in the summer... i'm suspicious
