Don’t expect us to talk, or make any sound,
though we're open letters, we like it quiet
down here, where we’re written down.

Whenever you want to, come on around,
(there's no need to speak) these letters relate   
without making a sound.

We’re really that easy, not a bad crowd,
we're good friends to the letter,
right here, written down.

Drop by unannounced,
that’s never a bother, we’ll listen
real well, and we won't make a sound.

If you really must, then read us aloud,
though we like it much better,
right here, written down.

There’s no hidden meaning, here to be found,
we’re just open letters, we don't make a sound;
there's no right or wrong here
where we’re written down.
