Necropolis

shambling--
mushroom blue stained corridor;
pearly eyes glimmering behind translucent fog.

Large courtyard,
upheaved gravestones,
red corpses;                      why are they "red"?
sprawled over in heeps.              heaps

Emerging from a musty dug-out hole
to join an exodus
of decayed zombies and preturbed spirits
all diverging down an eroded casm.         merging down an eroded chasm

Ascending a circular staircase
adorned with burning crosses
and false gods.
Crammed within a narrow gap--
a long fall below.

Banshee screams reach crescendo
as the journey grows closer to an end.
Hideous human-animal amalgamations
hobble across broken concrete
outside the staircases.

A giant colloseum
at the summit of the mountain.
Four openings--
on each side,                                    one on each side
usher in streams of the undead.

Thousands descend a vertical drop
inside the crator within.
Down to the giant ant-death-spiral of Kaaba.         Why are you using a real place here?
Where they die
over
and over
and over
again.

Nimrod Bodfish observes from above on his obsidian vessel.
The time for restoration is soon.

This could all end
but there is one that won't ever die:
Hym Watcher.                                    As with General 88, need more about Hym Watcher, who/what is he in relation to the rest of your stories.
As with the related poems, I'm enjoying this series, if a little puzzles where you are going with it.
