He Took an Arrow to the Butt

Indeed a fun little piece.

Finding a quicker way to hit that killer ending would make it stick like an arrow in my right eye socket.


An opponent charges forward something other than "an opponent" , perhaps "apparition"
and the man dodges,
shooting a single arrow
aiming for its backside. slight edits


The adversary lets out a final yell,
as the arrow meets it's mark I laugh
aloud, because it must be humiliating
to die from taking an arrow to the butt

"Here lies a master vampire"
not even fortunate enough
to be given a name,
who will probably be looted
after he was slain,

Oh, how I pity his poor soul
but at least I wear his garments now.

I will rewrite some of that, for sure. I definitely like switching the "and" to the word 'as' and I agree that it would sound better if opponent was changed. I really like the word slain, as well. It's flows better that way. I'll do some editing.
