Why are you thinking about Christianity? Is it a local bias?
Must be local bias the number of different christian churches I pass every day just going down the street to work. I can't agree with any of them, and all the books I've tried to read about every other religion I've been introduced to have left me believing the people who started them but not the churches about them. I hate church.
You should make a thread where people list all the cultural aspects of, well, culture, that's based on Christianity.
You talk to witches, and their worldview is Christian. Atheists.
Preachers preach the same book. Satirists make jokes about the same book. The book won't go away. But it will.
It will go away. It'll fade. It'll live in the satire of atheists and closet-Christians, and that will be all the same. And go on living that way, until this this and
Now, never use biblical tropes, ever again. Every little tentacle or aftershock of christian trope, cut, forget, to never be in a now again.
but it gets such a rise out of you, and really in writing nothing is 'off limits' it might get a warning or a ban on a public forum but...
Jesus died on not a but THE cross. Brilliant. To criticize Christianity is to be a Christian. Turn the cross upsidedown, you have a sword, we can work with that. Turn it head over feet again, well, there's the cross again. Jehovah's Witnesses call it the torture stake. Torture stake doesn't ring as true. Presto, a new CULT.
The Jehovah's Witnesses have a cute scene going on. If you dig in, they have the dirt.
But what about the Devil? Satan.
All Jehovah's creations have free will, and can choose to be saved, and report, directly upon allowance to Paradise Earth.
And Satan? Satan can repent, and be saved?
Of course not. That would FUBAR the narrative.
No sympathy for the devil.
I tell this story, not to prove by logic, based on my previous a few minutes, has it been that long?, statements, that I'm a Christian. But that it doesn't matter.
If I say something, it doesn't. I could say anything. Could anyone?
You can be Christ, but you can't be a Christian.
i think a real christian is first a jew, but then again I believe most would say I'm not a real christian or a Jew, they'll know I'm not atheist, I'm just an abomination of faith.
A Christian is a fireman who sits at home while Firemen do Firemen stuff.
End of sermon.
