It does make sense. I guess I feel obligated to cite the text sources. I could do that with a Spoiler button (if I knew how to create that). As to the rabbit hole, that's a bigger challenge. I have some unconcious rules that I've set myself when writing these that somewhat preclude making them fit what a reader would expect.
