I'm taking this slow. Sometimes the angels seem to want it that way. And if I act too fast, they give Emily Browning yet another boyfriend I'm going to have to hear about.

We want pleasure, we want pain, we want the next. Otherwise, we'd just have what we have, after all these years, and not say, Well . . .
Near the end, there are actually spaces between the actual spaces. I mean, spaces between the actual slashes. And spaces between the things before and after the slashes.
This could mean, we're getting somewhere.
It could mean we're spacing farther, not further, away. And, then, again, It is a problematic word. Every time you register it, though, maybe not every time you see it, it means something, well, else.

That last bit, there, in red, to be obvious, is what could be misconstrued on your part.
The last line describes in prose how line breaks feel.
I want to be. But I can't unless I'm this or that. Not this and that. This and that, by turn.

If you, or U, in common parlance, were happy all the time: would you be you? Or would you be a ping without a pong?
And, if so, why not enjoy the ping and the pong?
