Roasted beans atop toast.
a specialty during these hard times.

Somehow, I circled the sun,
barely leaving the trailer.                 my favorite line

Value, worth, progress,
a formulaic reflection of
Sounds, places, things, people.

Though this year I smiled the most
in the trailer.
Eating beans and toast.

Atop of a desk.
The screens monitor.

Songs made,
places seen,
people met.                               Do these lines refer back to the screens? That you were making songs, meeting people online?

It overheated,
as if the popping pintos
microwaved atop toast.

Illuminations, reflection.
Epiphanies, ghosts one carries
of a person past-tense.

Apparitions of goodness
Manifests in living well.                 manifest themselves in living well?
Though some skeletons,
should be left in the past.

Though the eternal testimonial,
an interpersonal reality,
regardless of the achievements
I have grossed.

Damn, I love beans and toast.

I feel like the stanzas I crossed out don't add much or need to be more concrete.

Beans on toast is a alien dish to me, mundanely exotic and repellent at the same time, so I really enjoyed exploring this poem.
