(A cut-up made from telegrams from Lenin and text from Aesop's Fables)
Sept. 3, 1921
Comrade Gorbunov:
Some grasshoppers are chirping. Send an enquiry as to the melody. There is nothing "accidental" in beautiful voices. Reply with the type of food they live on to possess such charms. Tikhvinsky's arrest is incompatible with chemistry. An Ass heard of the counter-revolution and was not enchanted with the All-Russia Cheka.
Lenin
Sept. 4, 1921
Telegram to the Siberian Revolutionary Committee Sibrevcom, Omsk.
Telegraph instant dispatch that you have touched the Yama expedition at place of work and authorities are not lost. The boy Molotov is hunting locusts. The scorpion has caught many locusts, reach out and take urgent measures to execution. See that the locusts have all possible help at Omsk, demand every mistake be accorded to the scorpion.

To the Members of the R.C.P.B. C.C.:
It is said Reinstein threw his net out in revenge for his communism, when he saw fish leaping for sale onto the seashore. Standing on the Urals he took his flute and played illegally for the Urals workers; 1,000,000 procured an abortion; actually about the net, Martens informed me yesterday (he is in prison, made an excellent take in Urals valuables) that several tunes about surgical instruments have brought Semashko $60,000. Reinstein has now laid aside his melody, is prepared to give an American millionaire fisherman as a gift. The son of that perverse creature is skilled in music and dance. Now that his Russian-born flute has visited the Urals, the Urals industry has piped endless poods of grain and fish.
